Searching for info on Lachlan Mcphail who married Agnes McGilp. Two issue that I know of are Edward born Kilmichael and Peter born Lochgilphead. Lachlan died Greenock Feb 1872 so born abt 1815/16. His wife Agnes died Greenock Feb 1883 so born abt 1815/16. Have still to sheck out death certs for them. I found bapts info on Edward and Peter - mother listed as Ann - so at present I am unsure if I have correct family. Thanks in advance

Zion McPHAIL was born in Columbiana co. OHIO in 1811. Her mother, supposedly was Elizabeth, said to be a widow (?). I know that also on Census records is Archibald McPhaill, and William McPhail. Zion married Moses Gunnell SAUNDERS and they moved on to Montezuma IOWA. There is a McPhail infant in the Montezuma cemetery, so there must have been McPhails there for a time. Zion had one son whom she named SELKIRK SAUNDERS, obviously, she must have come from PEI>Scotland. Are there any McPHAIL descendents who can trace back to OHIO? Thanks, Scotty in PA
